Omer Malchi is a dedicated Learning Support and Special Education Teacher with over 15 years of experience supporting students with diverse learning needs. After a decade of teaching in New York City, he has lived and worked in Israel, Nepal, Japan, Vietnam, and China. Omer has recently returned to Vietnam to join ICCD, where he is excited to make a positive impact.
Omer holds a master’s degree in education, a New York State teaching certification for students with disabilities, and a Certificate in School Management and Leadership (CSML) from Harvard Business School Online. He specializes in creating tailored interventions and individualized education plans, implementing evidence-based instruction rooted in the science of reading.
Throughout his career, Omer has worked in various educational settings, most recently at Shanghai American School. There, he successfully enhanced support programs for students with learning differences and disabilities. He is particularly passionate about using evidence-based approaches to help struggling readers improve their fluency and comprehension.
In addition to his teaching role, Omer enjoys playing, watching, and coaching soccer. He has also practiced yoga for many years, earning a 250-hour teaching certificate in 2019. His diverse interests and commitment to student success make him a valuable partner in your child’s educational journey.
